# NSW Education Standards Authority {#nsw-education-standards-authority}

This package republishes content from New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) syllabuses and related curriculum materials, © State of New South Wales (NSW Education Standards Authority). Unlike this repository's other packages, this content is **not** available under an open licence such as Creative Commons — it remains protected by Crown copyright, and reuse is governed by NESA's own, more restrictive terms.

## Conditions for reuse {#conditions-for-reuse}

NESA grants only a limited, non-exclusive licence to:

- teachers employed in NSW government schools,
- teachers employed in registered non-government schools, and
- parents of children registered for home schooling in NSW,

to use, modify and adapt these syllabuses for **non-commercial educational use only**. The adaptation must not have the effect of bringing NESA into disrepute.

This licence explicitly **excludes** private/home tutoring companies, professional learning service providers, publishers, and other organisations, whether commercial or not, outside the categories above. Any reuse outside those categories — including redistributing this package or building products on top of it — requires prior written permission from NESA.

- **Attribution** — acknowledge NESA as the source using the attribution statement below.
- **No modification without permission** — outside the educational licence above, content must not be modified without NESA's written permission.
- **No endorsement** — reuse must not state or imply that NESA supports or is affiliated with this package or its use.
- **Excluded materials** — third-party content referenced within syllabuses (e.g. photographs, diagrams, extracts) is excluded and requires separate permission from the relevant copyright owner.
- **Currency** — NESA's own websites hold the only official, up-to-date versions of these syllabuses; content here may not reflect the current version.
